Chapter 0500
"I planned to wait until | found Dad so we could reunite as a family," Simon explained. "That's why | haven't
cback to see you until now."
"How did you even know Dad was still alive?" Suzy asked, needing to know who had told him.
"| overheard it," Simon admitted. "When | tried to assassinate Charlotte, | accidentally caught a conversation
between her and Claude, That's when | learned the truth and began searching for Dad.”
Suddenly, everything started to make sense.
The siblings, reunited after so many years apart, ended up talking late into the night. It wasn't until just before
dawn that Simon finally left Suzy's room.
And, just as fate would have it, Victor ran into him on his way back.
Victor had been restless ever since hearing the rumor about Nadia's illness. Even though it had been confirmed

she wasn't sick, he couldn't shake the unease in his heart. So, to clear his head, he had disguised himself and
gone out for a drink-or maybe a few too many.
Feeling much better after indulging in salcohol, he was on his way back when he stumbled upon a sight that
immediately sobered him up.
He caught Simon leaving Suzy's room at dawn.
What the hell was going on?
Was Suzy cheating on Dylan?
Victor froze, torn between shock and disbelief. Should he tell Dylan about this explosive discovery?
But then again, Suzy didn't seem like the kind of person who would do something like that.
Yet, if that were true, why had she been sneaking around so suspiciously?
The way they acted-furtive and secretive-it didn't look good.
No, this couldn't be right. Dylan had already endured so much, lost so much-and now, thought of Suzy betraying
him was almost too much to bear.
Victor made up his mind. He had to tell Dylan about Suzy's indiscretion.
Even if it was cruel, even if it hurt Dylan, it was better to rip the bandage off now than let him live with a bigger
heartbreak later.
Thinking this through, Victor knocked on Dylan's door.

Being disturbed in the middle of the night, especially by someone reeking of alcohol, left Dylan more than a little
annoyed. "If you're drunk, go sleep it off."
"Who's drunk?" Victor scoffed, crossing his arms. "You know my alcohol tolerance. Three glasses? Thirty? None of
that fazes me. And you think I'd cknocking in the dead of night if it wasn't something important?"
"Get to the point," Dylan said curtly, his tendency to keep things brief applied to everyone except Suzy.

Victor hesitated for a moment, his expression suddenly cautious. "What I'm about to tell you might throw you off
balance, so try to stay calm. Your health isn't what it used to be, and I don't want you getting too worked up.

There was genuine concern in Victor's voice, and for a moment, he wavered, wondering if he should even say
anything at all. What if it hurt Dylan more than helped him?
Dylan narrowed his eyes, immediately sensing something was wrong. "This is about Suzy, isn't it?"
"How do you-"Victor started, but then shook his head. "Of course, you'd figure that out. She's the only thing you
really care about, so naturally, you'd assit's about her."
"What happened? Is she alright?" Dylan's tone shifted, laced with worry.
Victor hesitated again, but then sighed, deciding there was no turning back now. "She's... seeing someone else."
