Chapter 0577
Chapter 0577
Dylan was furious,
His gaze stayed glued to the photo, unblinking, as if it held all the answers to his frustration.
Watching him, Desmond felt a pang of guilt. "Sir maybe Elliot's situation was more critical, and that's why Mrs.
Wright went to him first."
"Does he look like someone in critical condition? Dylan's chest heaved with anger. "And didn't you tell her | was
seriously injured?"
Desmond was speechless. What could he say to that?
Dylan took several deep breaths, trying to steady himself. "Get the car ready."
"For what? Where are we going?" Desmond asked nervously, dreading the answer. "Sir, maybe Mrs. Wright will
still come. What if she arrives after we've left, and they're no longer there? That would be.a disaster. Let's wait a
little longer."
"Do you really think Elliot will let her leave?" Dylan shot back, his tone cold. "He's already sentthat taunting
photo. There's no way he'll let her chere."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"So, where are we going?" Desmond asked again, his heart sinking at the possibilities.
Dylan turned to him, his voice low and steady, "What do you think?"
Desmond wanted to say he had no idea, but the sinking feeling in his gut told him otherwise.
Sigh.
No matter how reluctant he was, Desmond still hurried to get the car ready. He knew there was no stopping
Dylan once his mind was made up.
As they set out for Elliot's place, Desmond couldn't help but dread what was coming. The two men would
inevitably act like children, sparring over Suzy as usual.
Still, he had no choice but to go. His words carried no weight with Dylan.
He couldn't help but think Elliot might have planned all of this.
When they arrived at Elliot's residence, there was no resistance. The guards at the entrance waved them through
as if they had been'expecting them.
It felt like walking straight into a trap.
Even Desmond could sense that Elliot had done this on purpose. How could Dylan not see it?
But Dylan didn't hesitate. He knew exactly what Elliot was doing-provoking him, goading him into coming.
And Dylan wasn't about to back down.

Chapter 0877
The moment Dylan arrived, Elliot was immediately notified.
Of course, Elliot had planned it all. He wanted nothing more than to get under Dylan's skin.
Elliot hadn't thought Dylan would actually show up..
But now that he had, Elliot certainly wasn't going to let him down.
His gaze flickered briefly, hiding the glimmer of amusement in his eyes. Then, putting on a pained expression, he
turned to Suzy. "Mentor, do you think I'm going to die?"
"What kind of nonsense is that?" Suzy snapped, annoyed by his morbid question. "It's just a few lingering
parasites. | managed to purge them before, and I'll do it again. What, don't you trust my skills?"
"Of course, | trust you," Elliot said weakly, his voice frail. "But | don't trust myself. The pain is unbearable-it feels
like my chest is being eaten alive from the inside. No one who hasn't experienced it can understand.
"My heart feels like it's being chewed apart, bit by bit. The numbness, the stabbing pain, the spasms... every
second of it is agony."
To his credit, Elliot wasn't entirely lying-he really was suffering from a flare-up of the poison.
He hadn't told Suzy before, worried she'd be too anxious. But now, he had no choice.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSuzy, of course, wasn't blind to his pain. Seeing him suffer made her heart ache. "Don't worry, I'll get rid of the
remaining parasites in your body as quickly as | can."
"Mentor, if-just if..." Elliot held onto her hand, refusing to let go. "If | weren't your student, would you be willing to
be with me?"
Even now, in the midst of his suffering, he was still hung up on this.
Suzy didn't want to upset him further, so she sighed and gave him an answer to soothe him." Elliot, if we weren't
mentor and student, I'd consider it."
"Mentor!" Elliot's face lit up with joy. He threw his arms around her and pulled her into a tight embrace.
Suzy froze for a moment, but then she wrapped her arms around him in return.
To her, Elliot was just a child-despite being only a few years younger, that was how she'saw him. Hugging him
now felt more like comforting a distressed kid than anything else.
