Chapter 216 Why Did You Let Go of My Hand

Compared to how he held her hand, Bella was even more shocked by his words. He had never brought a woman

here before? And she was the first?

Her heart fluttered uncontrollably. It was impossible to resist being teased by someone she liked. Even though he

knew she had feelings for him, he still insisted on making moves that could be misinterpreted and saying things

that could lead her to misunderstand. If she didn't know he would never love her back, she might actually

believe his words..

Sean, the elevator reached the 36th floor. As the doors opened, a group of people in identical suits and neatly

tied ties waited outside.

Bella Instinctively pulled her hand away from Dominic's grasp. As they walked past, the group greeted him in

unison, "Mr. Miller."

Dominic shot her an annoyed glance, and his expression darkened as he scanned the group. "Mm."

The group held their breath, and once Dominic and Bella moved away, they began to murmur among

themselves. "What's going on? Did Mr. Miller bring a woman to the company?"

"You're right. | swear | saw it too. Who is that woman? Mr. Miller's future wife?""

"No idea. I've never seen her before. | can't see her face with those sunglasses on, but her figure looks good..."

Once inside the office, Bella ensured no one else was around before taking off her sunglasses.

Ignoring Dominic's sullen expression, she walked over to a nearby couch, picked up a magazine, and said, "You

do your thing"

He shot her a resentful look for a couple of seconds before walking to his desk and piclding up the phone to

make a call. "Bring sdrinks-an iced Americano and freshly squeezed orange juice."

Her hand froze on the magazine. How did he know what she liked to drink? Felix only knew her preferences

because he had paid attention...

Before she could overthink it, Dominic hung up the phone, leaned against the desk, and stared at her coldly.

"Bella, you're doing this intentionally, aren't you?"

Bella was confused by his question. "What do you mean?"

He took a deep breath and chose to ignore her. He removed his suit jacket and sat on the other side of the desk,

casually draping his jacket over the back of the chair.

She had no idea what was on his mind and didn't dare to ask. She was merely pretending to focus on the

magazine and realized she wasn't absorbing any

A short while later, someone entered with the drinks. It was a pretty assistant with long, wavy hair. Bella glanced

up and thought, "Has he changed assistants?"

The assistant placed the iced Americano in front of Dominic and handed Bella the orange juice, casually asking,

"Would you like ssnacks? We have a lot of varieties "

Bella initially wanted to decline politely, but Dominic jumped in before she could say anything. "Get her some

nuts, like walnuts. She needs to boost her brainpower."

She was speechless.

The assistant smiled, though the reason was uncertain, and left. When she returned, she carried a large selection

of snacks that consisted of nuts. including walnuts. She even brought a tool for cracking walnuts. Bella's

is lips twitched. "Thank you... Sorry for the trouble."

The assistant nodded slightly. "No trouble at all. We still have plenty if you finish those. We have a staff mini-

mart here."

After the assistant left, Bella took a bag of walnuts and happily walked over to Dominic. "Here, you can also

boost your brainpower."

He looked at her, a cold smile breaking through his annoyance. "I have enough brainpower; you can take more."

Noticing he was upset, she asked quietly, "Things were fine before. Why did your mood change so fast?"

Dominic asked, "Why did you let go of my hand?"
