Chapter 257
Chapter 257 She Doesn't Like It
Today, the man before Bella was a far cry from the Dominic she had once known. He was probably driven to
distraction by her as he was talking far more than usual. Bella couldn't handle this new version of him, so she
had long since surrendered. However, the moment she thought of that other woman, she refused to back down.
Seeing that she wouldn't budge, Dominic couldn't maintain his composure any longer. He stopped trying to be
considerate of her feelings and began to push relentlessly.
After a long tspent wrestling with each other, Bella was overwhelmed. She glanced at the clock on the wall
and realized it was already 2:00 pm, which was her working hours.
Retreating, she stammered, "I'm late for work. C-Can we talk tonight? P-Please stop..."
Dominic was in a heated moment and refused to let her go. He loved to wrap his hand around the back of her
neck, effortlessly gripping her slender neck. In that possessive way, he looked at her dazed expression and
asked, "So, are we really breaking up?" Gritting her teeth, she responded, "L-Let's talk about that tonight..."

He gently rubbed his thumb over her lips. "Then, we'll have sex until tonight before discussing it."
Bella was well aware of his stamina, and she felt numb from his relentless advances. To extricate herself quickly,
she lowered her head and replied, " Fine, I'm not breaking up with you..."
Having gotten the answer he wanted, he swiftly pulled back and separated himself from her. "I'm busier than you
think. | don't have tto waste with you. We'll discuss it tonight. Don't try to skip out on coming home."
With that, he turned and headed to the bathroom, grabbing his phone along the way. Soon, the sounds of him
talking on the phone filled the air. Bella felt like she had been tricked. If she had just held out a little longer, he
might not have been able to wait. He clearly had other urgent matters to
attend to.
With things already this far, she pushed aside her thoughts and gathered her belongings. She left the hotel for
the hospital before he cout of the bathroom
Just as she arrived at her department, she unfortunately ran into the hospital director. In a diffident manner, she
greeted him, "Good afternoon..."
After the director looked at her up and down, he smiled as he asked, "You seem to be running late these days. |
can understand the mornings, but even in the afternoons? Is there something going on?"
Bella hesitated for a moment before replying in a low voice, "Dominic looked for me... I'm sorry, it won't happen
again."

Upon hearing Dominic's name, the director's smile widened. "No problem at all. If Mr. Miller was the one looking
for you, then it's all good. Go ahead

For the entire afternoon, her mind was filled with the details of her argument with Dominic. It felt like a
completely different person had taken his place during the argument Was he always like this when he got angry?

At the end of the workday, Dominic was right on time, waiting for her downstairs at the hospital. Given what had
happened at noon, Bella felt weak in the knees and didn't dare to refuse his ride,
She had thought they might start arguing again on the way back, but thankfully, he was preoccupied. He wore
his earphones the entire tand was Talking on the phone. Other than when he helped her fasten her seatbelt,
he didn't even look at her. As they neared Miller Manor, he finally hung up and looked over at her. He asked,
"Can | work late tonight?"
Bella gave him a bewildered look.
Why are you asking me? Just go ahead"
He replied tersely, "Don't you think I'm inattentive to the details? You're acting all worked up over nothing. Other
than my busy schedule, | can't think anything else I've done to upset you. Women are really complicated" Bella
was left speechless.
