Chapter 657: Your Life Is in My Hands for Now
Natalie uttered an "Oh," finally meeting the infamous Grace.
What an idiotic fool!
It was no wonder she described her that way; in her eyes, Grace was exactly that.
Stupid, contemptible, and asking for a beating!
How had Tina not killed her yet?
Grace clasped her hands around her neck, took several deep breaths, and cursed under her breath at Nathan for
not showing any tenderness or pity.
After a moment, she turned to face Natalie.
The legendary former squadron leader of X Bureau, Everett.
Also, Tina's own mother!
Grace squinted, "Who are you? Is this a secret prison of the X Bureau? Do you think you can just waltz in here
whenever you want? Nathan, lettell you, you're definitely getting disciplined for this! Don't think that just
because Chief Linden won't letmeddle in X Bureau affairs, | can't punish you!"
No sooner had she finished speaking, Natalie suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Grace by the throat and pinning
her against the wall, her feet dangling, unable to struggle.
Even Nathan, standing aside, hadn't reacted before Natalie had completed her move.
Grace was choked to the point of being unable to speak, nearly suffocating.
"Death is easy; | can grant it to you," Natalie's voice was icy cold, devoid of any warmth.
Grace, choked twice now, was furious yet powerless against Natalie. Initially wanting to struggle, she suddenly
laughed, "Go on, kill me! | dare you!"
Natalie smirked slightly, freeing her other hand to slowly trace down Grace's hideous face, her fingertips grazing
the skin, causing a sharp pain.

Natalie's cold eyes stared into Grace's, leaning close to her ear with a sinister tone, "Don't rush. What's scary
isn't death, but wanting to die and not being able to. Your life, for now, I'll keep safe in my hands, and I'll
personally escort you to your end."
Nathan, standing by, observed her malevolent smile, strikingly similar to Tina's.
Truly like mother like daughter; terrifying when ruthless!
Absolutely untouchable.
Natalie then threw Grace to the ground, controlling her strength remarkably well.
The throw only resulted in a bit of blood from Grace and a few broken ribs, nothing more.
Natalie dusted off her hands, "By the way, this is the secret prison of the X Bureau. It opens its doors to me
whenever | want. Have you got that, Miss Hancock?" Nathan found it amusing.
Grace still thought she was superior to Natalie?
Forget the current Linden, even Harry Jackson wouldn't dare cross Natalie!
Natalie hadn't returned to serve at X Bureau, not because she couldn't, but because she chose not to.
Whenever Natalie would ask, the entire X Bureau would cforth to receive her.
Such was the nature of this secret prison; Natalie could cand go as she pleased.
Even now, Natalie's records were kept in the headquarters’ classified section, a top-level secret, her medals of
honor overwhelming.
Her entrance today through Nathan was merely a nod to the rules of the X Bureau.
Waving at Nathan, Natalie then left the secret prison.
Joshua was not as simple as he seemed; there were many questions he hadn't asked yet.
After her departure, Nathan, unwilling to linger, left Grace alone there.
It took a long while for Grace to recover from her shock, gasping for air before she stood up.
Natalie was even more terrifying than Tina; when would this mother and daughter duo finally die!
Grace rubbed her chest, staggering as she walked into Joshua's cell.

Joshua yawned, "Is there a new person delivering meals?"
Grace tossed a pill into his hand, "Look closely, it's me, Grace!"
"Huh? Did you get beaten up? Tsk, that's pitiful."
Joshua took the pill and swallowed it.
As soon as he did, his eyebrows furrowed tightly together, and he immediately fell to the ground in pain, rolling
around as sweat soaked his body, nearly losing consciousness. Grace watched from the side, her brow
unconsciously furrowing.
How terrifying.
It was unclear what they were really after.
"Someone will cto transfer you tomorrow. Try to see Natalie less from now on."
After speaking, Grace hurriedly left.
She was afraid that Joshua might start raving soon and drag her into it as well.
In the prison, the surveillance was silently erasing the footage of Grace throwing the pill, unnoticed by anyone.
In the YQ laboratory, Tina's experiment finally showed a reaction. She smiled satisfactorily, "Success!"
Jared, who had no idea what Tina was doing, saw that she was finally free and tousled her hair, "How are you
doing? Hungry?"
Wraith chimed in, "Didn't she just eat a bunch of Japanese food?"
Tina shook her head, "I'll eat later. | need to discuss something with my mom. When is she coming back?"
Just then, Natalie pushed open the door, "I'm back now, and | also have something to discuss with you."

In the lab, Tina showed her results to Natalie, "Could ST-1, which cured Lily Ward's failing organs, also restore
your memory?"
"That's what | wanted to talk about," Natalie said, looking at Tina's results.
"From what we can see, it's possible."
When Tina saw that Lily Ward's organs were indeed healed by ST-1, she immediately thought of using it to treat
Natalie's amnesia.
Natalie's memory loss was not due to internal injuries but was caused by physical trauma, possibly exacerbated
by drugs injected by the Five Poisons.
This had damaged Natalie's memory, causing her to lose memories of that time.
After Natalie was hit on the head by Rachel, she sustained semi-permanent damage.
Later, Natalie managed to recover a small part of her memory on her own, but it was not completely restored.
Since ST-1 could repair failing cells, perhaps it could also repair the damaged memory cells inside Natalie.
"Mom, | want to try this, but I'm not completely sure. The experiments look fine now, but | can't guarantee the
effects completely; it might cause other reactions." Tina was always confident, able to completely master any
pathology.
But this time, even Natalie couldn't be sure of the experiment.
This wasn't just a surgery; it was an experiment, one that only allowed success, not failure.
And the person in front of her was her mother; how could she not be nervous about conducting this experiment?
If it failed, she could really lose her mother forever.
Natalie took Tina's hand and squeezed it gently, "Are you afraid of this? Are you afraid | might smack you?"
"Is this a tto joke?"
Tina pulled Natalie to sit down, "If | fail, you might never cback."
