"I'll buy Mr. Warren dinner," Ellie said, pulling her hand away forcefully and heading towards the elevator. A flicker of disappointment flashed in Alex's eyes.
"Your girlfriend is so beautiful," the saleswoman said, trying to salvage the sale. "This year, it's trendy to give your girlfriend a lucky charm bracelet for protection and good fortune.
