Chapter 297
"Yoselin, no need to be scared, I'm with you," Yasmine comforted her, placing a hand over Yoselin's eyes. She
gently guided her to the bed. "Just relax..."
With Yasmine's gentle care, Yoselin finally drifted into a peaceful sleep. However, within minutes, she awoke
again, but this ther mind was clear. Once composed, she glanced over at Yonas and Nathan.
"Bro, Grandpa, Yasmine, you're all here? And Irene, you too?" Yoselin exclaimed happily, as if she had completely
forgotten
the recent events.
Nathan gave Yasmine a thoughtful look. He had consulted many psychologists for Yoselin, yet none had an effect
quite like Yasmine's.
There was an unexplainable trust that Yoselin felt around Yasmine, a trust that calmed her the moment she saw
her.
Yasmine gently said, "I cto see how you're doing."
"Yasmine," Yoselin said, glancing nervously at Irene. She knew all too well about the ties between Yasmine, frene,
and Yonas. 'But what brought them all htogether?" Curious and puzzled, she looked at her brother, whose
eyes hinted at a deep, complex inquiry. Nathan snapped out of his thoughts and smiled warmly at Irene. "Irene,
glad you could make it! How about we share a cup of coffee?"
He took a moment to size up Yasmine, Ms. Sanchez, giving her a slight nod in acknowledgment.

Yoselin followed Yasmine closely as they walked into the living room. The room exuded an antique charm, likely a
personal project of Nathan's making.
The butler appeared with an aromatic rosewood case. "Ms. White, Ms. Sanchez, you're in for a treat. This is
Matthew's last box of prized coffee beans." Irene eagerly took the case, "I'll brew it. Nathan always says he loves
my coffee best."
Nathan gazed at Irene with a unique fondness, "You cheeky girl
When the aromatic rosewood case was opened, a gentle coffee aroma floated in the air. Yasmine thought she'd
smelled it somewhere before.
Irene, being of such high standing, must have been trained in brewing coffee. Her every motion was filled with
elegance, and her technique flowed like that of a master.
The coffee aroma filled the entire living room. Irene carefully poured the coffee into the cups, naturally offering
the first to William.
As she handed Yasmine a cup, Irene said with a hint of meaning "Ms. Sanchez, give it a try. | rarely brew coffee
for outsiders." She implied that she considered herself part of the Russell family while it was Yasmine who was
the outsider. Yoselin slightly frowned and said in her clear voice, "Irene, | haven't tried it either."
Irene's eyes suddenly grew cold as she said casually, "Yoselin, if you want to drink it, there'll be plenty more
chances later." Yasmine's eyes flashed coldly when Yoselin put her cup down, and surprisingly, Nathan didn't say
a thing this time. "Yonas, my grandpa's been asking about you. When are you coming over again?" Irene asked,
her voice gentle. "Maybe in a bit," Yonas replied, unhurriedly.

The living room was silent except for Irene's voice. Yasmine took a sip from her cup, thinking the coffee Irene
made was really good. Nathan glanced at Yasmine, saying, "Ms. Sanchez, cwithto the study."
In the study, Nathan observed Yasmine. He was struck by her impressive demeanor, noting she had a similar
aura to Yonas. Even in front of him, she showed no fear. Leisurely, he said, "Yoselin seems to lean on Ms. Sanchez
quite a lot." "Nathan, is there something you'd like to discuss with me?" Yasmine asked with calm confidence.
Nathan remarked with a measured tone, "You're clever, and Yoselin depends on and trusts you, but it doesn't
completely wipe away my worries. Not long ago, all your affairs exploded online, and now everyone in South City
knows that before Teresa's suicide, she only left a message for her cousin."
With a slight smile, Yasmine said, "Nathan, | didn't expect you to ask such a naive question. Teresa's case is
crystal clear. If | truly made any mistakes, the whole psychology community would have heldaccountable. As
for those who are blind to the truth, they're better off that way."
Nathan was taken aback by her response; his eyes fixed on Yasmine, filled with curiosity.
"Ms. Sanchez, you are indeed intriguing, but simply being interesting might not suffice to stand alongside Yonas."
Yasmine shook her head. "Nathan, I've never thought about being with Yonas. Besides, isn't Irene the one you
really want for him? I've got nothing to do with Mr. Russell anymore. I'm only here because you invited me," she
explained.
Nathan let out a chuckle. "The Sanchez residence really can't compare to the White family. I've known Irene her
whole life, so | know her well. But | stay out of Yonas's personal affairs."

Yasmine paused, unsure of what Nathan was getting at. She expected the usual: an offer to take money and
leave his grandson or a reminder of their differences. ‘What's going on?' she wondered. "I... | don't understand,"
Yasmine admitted.
Nathan shifted the conversation, "Ms. Sanchez, it's up to you to understand. If Irene and Yonas really do get
engaged, I'd like you to genuinely wish them well."
It took Yasmine a couple of seconds to gather herself. "I will," she replied. Still thinking about Yoselin's earlier
situation, she couldn't help but ask, "And Yoselin, Nathan?" Nathan said, "We've had so many therapists see her
lately, and none have made a difference. Maybe you're the one who can truly help her."
Yasmine understood the implication and gave a slight nod. "I promise I'll take good care of Yoselin," she assured.
As they left the Russell residence, Yoselin followed closely behind Yasmine, a smile on her face. She was
surprised her grandfather allowed her to leave with Yasmine. Standing behind them, Irene was visibly unhappy
beside Yonas. She had tried to prevent Nathan from having Yasmine treat Yoselin, but her efforts were in vain.
Nathan seemed resolute, like his mind was set. Irene looked to Yonas, hoping he'd speak up, but he stayed silent.
As Yasmine walked away, Yonas felt the distance between them growing. He realized that soon, she might
discover what he had been hiding, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
Having Yoselin with Yasmine felt like a ticking tbomb, unpredictable and dangerous. He lived with constant
anxiety, tormented by his mistakes. He loved Yasmine, but it didn't matter. Being treated coldly and pushed
away, he convinced himself his heart was strong enough to watch her slowly drift away. But
