Chapter 135 Chapter 135: Eileen quickly averted her gaze, unsure whether to continue down the stairs.

At that moment, Bryan had already removed his shirt and draped it over his shoulder. He began ascending the stairs, his intense gaze locked firmly on her.

Reeling instinctively, Eileen stepped back, forgetting her position on the stairs, and stumbled, landing awkwardly on a step.

She grimaced in pain and rubbed her backside, the sharp scent of alcohol wafting up to her as Bryan's legs cinto view.

Looking up, she saw his face drawing closer, his features sharp and his eyes slightly clouded. His lips had a glossy sheen.

"'Eileen?" Bryan sounded confused as he reached out to touch her face, leaning closer.

"'Mr. Dawson," Eileen murmured softly, grasping his wrist with both hands. “You're drunk. Lethelp you to your room to rest." Bryan offered no resistance as Eileen gently pushed his hand away and stood up. She then assisted him up the remaining stairs.

She fumbled with the light switch on the wall, flooding the dark room with light. Bryan just leaned against the wall.

He was half-naked, exposing his defined Adam's apple, delicate collarbones, and well-sculpted chest muscles to Eileen.

Eileen averted her gaze quickly and guided Bryan toward the bed. As they neared the bed, Bryan's balance faltered, and he leaned heavily into Eileen.

Caught off guard, Eileen found herself pinned beneath him, his sudden weight forcing an exclamation of surprise from her lips.

His gaze moved from her delicate brows down to her petite nose, and then to her inviting red lips.

He licked his lips and lowered his head towards hers. Eileen quickly turned away, but Bryan mirrored her movement.

His slightly cool lips brushed against hers.

Then, he lay still beside her, his arm resting on her waist.

Suddenly, untimely images invaded Eileen's thoughts, causing a sudden reaction in her body.

Frowning, she sat up, removed Bryan's hand from her, and tidied her hair.

Once her breathing steadied, she moved Bryan onto the bed and covered him with a light blanket.

Seconds later, Bryan quietly drifted into slumber.

Standing by the bed, Eileen pursed her lips and looked at Bryan as memories and emotions overwhelmed her. After a long while, she took a deep breath, turned around, and left the room.

The photos from Milford revealed that the Sanchez Education Agency had been orchestrating everything behind the scenes.

Eileen's explanation about Milford's unique situation helped the parents of both online and offline tutoring students understand.

Although a few people requested refunds, most of them accepted the situation.

Eileen then dived back into work, recording course materials and crafting study plans for each child.

Early in the morning, Bryan woke up with a severe headache from the hangover. He sat up, furrowed his brow, and found two strands of long black hair in his hand as he massaged his temples.

The hairs were Eileen's. He stared at them briefly before setting them aside.

He had drunk excessively the night before and couldn't recall anything that had transpired.

He glanced up at the security camera installed in the room. After a moment, he got out of bed to freshen up.

He then booted up his computer and started reviewing the surveillance footage. While he was watching, his phone rang. He answered the call and switched to speakerphone.

"'Bryan, how are the tutoring classes for Milford going?" Zola's voice cthrough, sounding slightly out of breath.

"They haven't officially started yet," Bryan responded candidly. "Are you jogging now? I'll hang up." He continued to watch the surveillance footage, which showed Eileen standing on the stairs as he entered the house.

Just as he was about to end the call, Zola quickly said, "I only had a chance to call you during my morning run. Can you talk for a bit? What is so urgent that you have to hang up so quickly?" She sounded frustrated. "Why hasn't Milford started his tutoring sessions yet?" At that moment, the door opened, and Milford poked his head in. "Bryan, I'm hungry," he said.

"'You can ask Milford yourself," Bryan said to Zola as he handed the phone to Milford. "Give the phone back toafter the call. I'll make breakfast once I finish up here." Milford took the phone and went back to his room, putting the phone on the bedside table. “Why did you want to talk to me?" he asked Zola.

"'I'm your sister. Do I have to have a reason to talk to you?" Zola said, her tone patient despite her irritation. "Why haven't you started your tutoring sessions? What have you been up to lately?" "'I don't want to receive tutoring sessions," Milford confessed. Then, he proceeded to tell Zola all the things he had been doing these past few days.

Zola immediately becupset. "Milford, how many times must I say this? Those hooligans are bad news. Stay away from them! If you keep this up, you're headed for trouble. Do you really want to ruin your life?" Milford had grown accustomed to hearing such reprimands from Zola. His frustration reached a breaking point. "You didn't even ask if I was hurt from the fight! Don't you care about why I was fighting? You just assumed I was wasting my twith bad company!" "'I don't need to ask. I know exactly what you're up to," Zola retorted sharply. "Listen, you need to study diligently for the next six months and secure a spot in one of Onaland's top high schools!” Grinding his teeth, Milford said, “Are you seriously dictating what I should be doing with my life? Who gave you that right? Even our parents never meddled this much. What makes you think you can?" "'Milford, I am your sister!" Zola exclaimed.

"'What kind of sister are you? You're not even as thoughtful as Eileen. She actually worried aboutgetting hurt and suggested I take up training to defend myself. But all you do is scold me!" Milford countered.

The more he spoke, the more his anger boiled over. He leaped from his position to smash the phone against the floor.

But in a sudden flash of realization that it was Bryan's phone, he restrained himself and quickly ended the call. Zola, taken aback by the abrupt disconnection, paused briefly before swiftly dialing another number. “Kian, what was the nof the woman who caused Bryan and Vivien to split up?" she asked.

"Eileen Curtis,” Kian answered. "Why do you ask? She hasn't been in Onaland for over a year." "Do you know where she might have gone?" Zola asked again.

Kian pondered for a moment then admitted, "I'm not sure. But she is always true to her word and won't return to Onaland. She's no threat to Vivien. The real threat to Vivien now is her recurring illness." After a thoughtful pause, Zola said softly, “Kian, would you hold it againstfor not informing you about Vivien's condition before?" "'Absolutely not," Kian replied promptly. "I treat her like a sister. After her graduation, she was determined to go abroad to be with you, which proves she sees you as family." Zola let out a soft sigh and said, “I believed Vivien had dealt with her feelings for Bryan before she left for abroad. But it turned out she fled from Bryan and has been emotionally fragile ever since. Her distress worsened when she learned about Bryan's marriage. She was not in a state to return then. I hoped to help her stabilize, so I kept her condition a secret to spare you the worry. But now, she..." "Zola, listen," Kian spoke gently. "You don't have to justify yourself. None of us are upset with you. You've been overseas caring for Vivien for years, investing tand resources in her treatment. We're grateful for that." "There's no need for thanks. We're all in this for Vivien and Bryan, aren't we? By the way, Milford mentioned Eileen earlier. I suspect Eileen knows Bryan is in Wist Land now and might have gone to see him," Zola said.

Hearing that, Kian's eyes turned cold. "Really?" Zola paused for a moment before replying, not entirely sure, but we should be cautious. I think I heard her ncorrectly." Zola and Kian exchanged a few more words before ending the call. Zola's eyes sparkled mischievously as she turned and jogged toward Dawson Mansion.

Meanwhile, Kian clenched his phone tightly. After a moment, he dialed Benjamin and said, "Locate Eileen immediately." "'Mr. Warren, Eileen left a long tago. Why this sudden interest?" Benjamin asked instinctively.

"Just do as I say!" Kian snapped sharply. "You have one hour." Then, he hung up the phone.

Benjamin was eating breakfast when he received Kian's call. After ending it, he tossed his phone aside, his expression turning sour as he adjusted his tie. He then sent a Whatmessage to Eileen.

"'Kian wants to find out about your location." Eileen was driving to the education agency when she received the message from Benjamin. Upon seeing it, she pulled over to read its contents.

How cthere was already news getting to Kian just after her fewm encounters with Bryan? Aside from Raymond, nobody in Wist Land knew her past with Bryan. Before Eileen could decide how to reply to Benjamin, another message from him appeared on her phone.

"Have you met Mr. Dawson recently?" Eileen responded quickly, "Yes." "Look after yourself," Benjamin replied.

After sending the message, Benjamin stood up, his face settling into a cold expression. "Eileen, you never really learn, do you?" he muttered.

He then descended the stairs and stepped into his car. On his way to the Warren Group, he sent a text to Kian.

"'Eileen's in Wist Land." Eileen's success in managing her education agency here was partly because Benjamin had a friend in the area who provided substantial assistance.

Over the last year, her interactions with Benjamin had been sporadic, mostly concerning work or everyday matters.

Eileen felt grateful to Benjamin, but given Wist Land's distance fromm Onaland and the minimal influence the Warren family had here, she wasn't overly concerned about Kian. Once Bryan left Wist Land, she believed things would settle down.

In his study, Bryan finished watching the surveillance video, pausing at the part where Eileen stood by the bed, looking at him with a complex expression.

He touched his lips thoughtfully. After a moment, he turned off the computer and headed downstairs to make breakfast.

Milford brought Bryan's phone downstairs and put it on the dining table. Then, he waited for breakfast.

Bryan efficiently prepared the meal and brought plates of sandwiches to the table. He asked Milford, "What do you think of Eileen?"
