Chapter 25
Alice was incredibly calm; she genuinely wanted to leave this family.

Luke scoffed.“Fine, get out and get out of here. | want to see how you survive without the Welch family!”
Noah couldn't take it anymore: “Enough, Luke. What are you saying?”
“Noah, Alice wants to leave! She’s the one who doesn’t want us!” Luke's eyes were red-rimmed, his emotions
raw. He'd already lowered his head and apologized, and she still wanted to leave. Did she want him to beg for
forgiveness?
Chloe quickly stepped in to mediate: “Luke, don’t be angry. Alice was just joking. It’s fine if she doesn’t tutor me;
I'm already satisfied with the tutor we have.”
Luke glared at Alice.
“Look at how understanding Chloe is, and then look at yourself. Alice, have you ever reflected on your actions?”
“Luke, let's go. | need to ask you about sstrategies,” Chloe said, turning to Noah.“Noah, we're leaving.”
“Go ahead.”
Seeing Chloe being so considerate, Alice’s heart softened a bit. Originally, Chloe wasn’t even part of the Welch
family, but she had let her grades drop for the sake of the team’s training. She stepped in to mediate during
family conflicts. Compared to Alice, Chloe was incredibly mature.
Noah looked at Alice with disappointment.
“Don’t take Luke's words to heart. You're still part of the Welch family.”
Alice replied calmly, “I think it's better if | move out.”
Noah's expression changed.“Alice, what do you want? How can we go back to being a happy family like before?”
Happy family? Alice’s eyes suddenly aged a bit; she felt utterly exhausted. She didn’t even have the energy to
respond. It was all just disappointing.
She offered a cold, strained smile.”l can’t.” After her cold response, she walked straight to her room upstairs.

However, the team’s revival match was coming up this Saturday. For several days, Chloe had taken leave from
school, claiming to be sick, but Alice knew she was preparing for the competition.
Alice went about her life, eating and going to school without any impact. Noah approached Alice, placing a ticket
on the table.“The competition is this afternoon. Go and cheer for the family.” Alice replied flatly, “Okay.”
of Seeing her not even ask how the preparations were going, acting so cold, Noah felt a pang disappointment
compared to Chloe, who had even taken leave to prepare for the competition. “Alice, you'll understand our
intentions when you grow up.” Noah said no more and left the hall.

Alice felt sickened by his words. She put down her chopsticks, the urge to move out growing
stronger.
She picked up the ticket. She would be there. She needed to witness firsthand how her brother's team would fail
without her efforts.
Alice snapped a picture of the ticket and sent it to Jack:“I’'m going to watch the match this afternoon; so | won't
be online.” They had originally planned to gover the weekend.
Jack replied instantly: “Okay.”
As he responded, someone peeked over his shoulder, trying to see the message, but failed. Andrew Yates
clutched his chest.“Letsee! Don’t be so stingy.”
Jack raised an eyebrow.“Don’t you want your eyes

feel guilty, just compensate her directly. You've been hanging around her; what's your plan?”
Jack held his phone with his long fingers. After a long pause, he replied, “To accompany her as she grows, to help
her out of her low point, until she can live freely.”
Andrew couldn't help but add, “Until she grows up, falls in love, and has kids?” Jack frowned slightly.“Something
like that.” Her parents were gone, her brothers were unreliable, and she was struggling alone.
He changed the subject.“Do you have tickets for the match this afternoon?” “Are you interested in the revival
match? Your brother's already in the finals!” “Stop it. | need to arrange something before the match.” Jack looked
out the window. He’d support her until she no longer needed him. If her parents were alive, she wouldn't be
struggling like this. Alice went straight to the venue for the team match. She saw a lot of fans outside, holding
support signs, including fans of the Landing Team. There were even fans of Chloe. Thanks to Caleb's

Unlike Luke, who had the skills but often lost control of the game’s rhythm due to arrogance and a strong ego,
refusing to listen to others’ advice.
Soon, the competing teams began to take the stage. Fans from both sides started screaming in support, as if
competing to see who could be louder.
Alice sat calmly in her seat, noticing Luke and Chloe at the front of the team, both wearing matching uniforms,
looking like a family. But she noticed Luke looked tense, and Noah and Caleb weren't there. What happened?
Weren't they supposed to be training and participating in the revival match?

On stage, Luke's face was grim. He hadn't expected Noah and Caleb to bail on him last minute, throwing his
plans into disarray.
Chloe said soothingly, “Luke, Noah and Caleb had emergencies at work. After all, they're the company
presidents, not professional players.”
“You don’t understand! We've trained together for so long; if they say they can’t come, how are we supposed to
compete?”
“Luke, our team members are all quite capable; we've trained together, and we'll definitely work well together
and win.”
Even though Luke was giving her the cold shoulder, Chloe still patiently spoke kind words. After all, the more she
stood by Luke's side during such times, the more he would appreciate her as a sister, slowly replacing Alice's
position as the favored sister.
No matter how angry Luke was, there was nothing he could do at this point. Suddenly, he thought of Alice and
instinctively said, “Chloe, do you think it would be better if Alice were here to compete?”
Chloe's smile faltered; feeling a surge of anger. Why was he bringing up that woman again? Hadn't she been
training and taking leave for this competition, proving herself more than Alice, who had done nothing?
Out of the corner of her eye, Chloe suddenly spotted a familiar figure in the audience.“Luke, Alice's here to
watch our match!”
Alice noticed Chloe looking over, as the fans around her started to scream. The moment Luke saw Alice, his eyes
lit up.
She actually came.
