Yet the Spirit Addict Leopard did not pay Bowen any mind, continuing in its attack on Veron.

All that could be seen was Veron being forced to retreat further and further back, and it was obvious that she was not going to be able to hold on for much longer. What was she going to do? Bowen was beside himself with nerves at the sight. To think that he, a great Raksasa warrior, would need the protection of his beloved lady. How was he even a man at all? At the thought, Bowen wanted to stand up. Yet he had been injured far too severely and had barely gotten up before he had fallen down again.

All at once, Bowen spat a mouthful of blood that landed on the Sunset Bow in a fit of his nerves, dyeing it red.

He was useless, wasn't he...

Bowen gritted his teeth, cursing to himself over and over again. He could not help the woman of his dreams in the face of danger, and that was more agonizing than a man could take.

Yet just then, Bowen could feel a force coming out of the Sunset Bow in his grasp as the bow began to emit a brilliant glow.

Could... could this be because of his blood? Bowen stopped short, staring blankly at the Sunset Bow in shock and joy.

Before he could react, the Sunset Bow let out a strong energy that went directly into Bowen's inner core. Barely a few breaths later, Bowen was in significantly less pain and an endless strength inside him. Ha ha...

So it was blood that was able to trigger the Sunset Bow.

Quickly enough, Bowen returned to his senses with unspeakable emotion. He stood up, locking his gaze on the Spirit Addict Leopard and pulling the bow. All that could be seen was an arrow forming at top speed. The arrow was completely forged out of the Sunset Bow's energy and emitted a brilliant glow.

"To hell with you, you lowly beast." The next second, Bowen's eyes grew bloodshot as he let go of the bowstring with a piercing howl.

The arrow whooshed out, tearing through the air in a brilliant glow like a shooting star as it charged at the Spirit Addict Leopard at top speed.

The Spirit Addict Leopard sensed the movement from behind it and ducked instinctively. Yet it was nowhere as fast as the arrow and had not even moved much yet before the arrow hit it square by the temple, its force knocking the beast onto the ground completely.

The next second, the arrow turned into a flthat lit the Spirit Addict Leopard's body on fire. Within mere seconds, there was nothing left of the beast.

Despite the Spirit Addict Leopard being immensely powerful, it was no match for one arrow from the Sunset Bow... After all, this had been the prized weapon that had shot down nine suns. Of course, Bowen was unable to unleash the bow's full potential with the skill level he was currently at, but it was more than enough for him to take on a beast like the Spirit Addict Leopard.

How powerful...

Was this the power of the Sunset Bow? Veron stopped short at the sight, unable to return to her senses for a long time.

When she did, she called out excitedly to Bowen, "How did you manage to work the Sunset Bow, big guy? Didn't it not work at all before?" As she spoke, Veron clutched at the gash on her shoulder as she strode over quickly.

"I..." Bowen was about to respond, a smile still on his face. Yet he had only said a word before his vision darkened at the corners, and he blacked out.

Bowen had almost keeled over from the two times the Spirit Addict Leopard had heavily wounded him. He had only been able to hold on through sheer willpower. Thus, he was unable to take the force from the Sunset Bow despite having unlocked it. "Big guy..." Veron cried out, rushing over and taking Bowen into her arms. "Don't you scare me, big guy! You've got to be fine. You've got to be fine..." 'Big guy' was the nicknVeron had given Bowen. She would never shout it out under most circumstances but could not hold back any longer seeing him in this state.

As she cried out, tears streamed down Veron's face endlessly.

Yet Bowen did not move one bit, remaining completely unresponsive.

This made Veron panic even more. Until she realized that his pulse was normal and he had only keeled over because he was too weak and his life would not be in danger.

Knowing this, Veron was slightly more relieved. She bandaged up her wounds before walking over to the trees to cut down sbranches to make a stretcher.
