"Tiff, what happened? Everything was fine. Why would William suddenly snap like that?" Just days ago, his condition seemed to be improving, and his mood was much more stable.
Tiffany bit her lip. "I... I don't know... I said I didn't want the pudding, then..." Recalling the events still shook her. Joyce offered to have the driver take Tiffany home.
Tiffany refused. She walked along the sidewalk, replaying what happened. Unable to hold back, she vomited on the side of the road. From behind, a car approached.
A black car pulled up behind her. The door opened, and someone stepped out, stopping behind her.
Thinking it was the security guard coming to chase her away, Tiffany didn't turn around. "Sorry, I'll leave right away..." But then a hand gripped her arm, yanking her up from the ground. Tiffany stumbled, barely regaining her footing to find it was Vincent.
"What are you doing here?" Vincent scanned her pale face.
Tiffany didn't expect to run into him there and hesitated before replying. "I cfrom the Lewis residence." Vincent's expression hardened. The hand gripping her arm tensed before letting go abruptly. He asked with ☐ ambiguous tone, "Have you made up with William?" "No," Tiffany replied reflexively.
Looking up, she met Vincent's inscrutable gaze. Her heart skipped a beat, and she pursed her lips, saying no more.
Amidst the tense standoff, Vincent's ringtone pierced the air. He answered it, and Kelly's voice cthrough. "Vincent, are you here yet?" Vincent frowned. "Something cup, I'll have Alex get you." "Oh... okay." After hanging up, Vincent turned to Tiffany. "You don't look too good. Do you need to go to the hospital?" "I'm fine. Thanks for your concern, Mr. Lewis." She turned to leave, but Vincent grabbed her arm again.
