Current use
GoodNovels.org does not intentionally set advertising or cross site tracking cookies. Its page, Book Sample, reading milestone, edition, reader relationship, resource, support, and sharing events do not use an advertising cookie or account identifier. The public site does not require an account.
Optional measurement choice
Optional reading measurement is off by default. goodnovels.measurement.v1 stores your allowed or declined choice in local storage. You can change it in Optional reading measurement; reading, downloads, purchases and First Look continue either way. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control override an allowed choice.
With permission, an active finder test may store a random device token under gn-experiment-unit. The server keeps an experiment-specific keyed hash to count exposure and selection once per device, without attaching an email address, account, search words, reading text or payment information. Declining measurement removes this device token and approved referral continuity. Ordinary reading counts use random event identifiers, not a cross-site identity. Approved campaign continuity may also keep a short-lived reference under gn-growth-attribution in session storage. The server reference expires after thirty minutes and contains only approved campaign, source, medium and book codes. These features do not set an analytics cookie.
Device storage
The edition selector stores your country, language, and locale choice in local storage under goodnovels.preferences.v2. The Reading Room stores your chosen light setting and text size in local storage under goodnovels.reader.display. It stores completed progress milestone names in locale and approved campaign specific session storage under goodnovels.sample.events.v3 so the same milestone is not sent more than once for that campaign during the browser session. With optional measurement allowed, approved referral continuity uses session storage under goodnovels.analytics.attribution.v2 and is limited to accepted campaign, source, medium, content, and asset codes. These reading preference and referral values do not contain your name, email address, message, account, full page address, query string, raw referrer, or a generated user identifier. Session values disappear when the browser session ends. You can remove all of these device values by clearing site data in your browser.
Cloudflare, the site's security and content delivery provider, may set the strictly necessary __cf_bm bot management cookie. It expires after 30 minutes of inactivity and is not used by GoodNovels.org for advertising.
Saved books stores only public book identifiers under goodnovels.saved-books.v1. It requires no registration and remains in the current browser. Remove saved entries or clear site data to delete it. If local storage is unavailable, saving works only temporarily while the page remains open.
External sites
Amazon, your mail application, and a destination selected through your device's native sharing feature may apply their own terms and notices after you choose to leave GoodNovels.org.

This notice describes current cookies and local storage. It will be updated when those practices change.
Reading and listening access
The complete Short Novel Collection is available at no charge every day, without an account, payment details, email verification or newsletter subscription. Read every chapter in your browser or keep the EPUB and PDF.
The complete English Providence audiobook is USD 3.99 every day. The Prologue and complete Part One remain available every day without an account. The free audio opening covers the Prelude and all of Part One. The approved written Prologue is also available.
Reading position and display preferences may be saved in this browser; clear site data to remove them. Saving a position does not create an account or a purchased library entitlement.
Purchases and private access
My Books uses an essential secure session cookie for access to purchased editions. Existing checkout return links use a separate short lived proof tied to the order. Basket and interface language choices stay on the device. A purchase or access link does not subscribe you to First Look, and newsletter consent remains separate. The complete Short Novel Collection, approved Providence samples do not require Stripe Checkout. Paid audiobook purchases use Stripe; marketing consent remains separate.
A historical support transaction may use a secure return-proof cookie lasting up to twenty four hours to recover the checkout result. It does not identify you for advertising, grant book access, or subscribe you to email. Private catalog and review-management sessions also use necessary access cookies.
