Reading an EPUB
Download the EPUB from the book page and open it in a compatible e-reader application. On Apple devices, you can open or share the downloaded file with Apple Books. For a personal document on Kindle, follow Amazon's Send to Kindle instructions. A downloaded EPUB is not an Amazon purchase.
Reading a PDF
Open or download the PDF from the book page and use your browser or a compatible PDF reader. A device may save the file to Downloads before opening it.
The Whitakers of Sullivan's Island
The complete written novel is sold through the Kindle eBook, Paperback and Hardcover links on its book page. Amazon controls those purchases, prices, stock, delivery and returns. Visit the book page for current reading options.
The complete audiobook is a separate paid product when available. A free subscription or contribution does not unlock it.
Previous purchases and private access
My Books preserves access to your purchased editions and legitimate gifts. Use the email entered at checkout to request a fresh access link. A title's removal from the public catalog does not cancel an existing valid purchase.
For a missing receipt, check spam and confirm the address used for the order. For an audio file or player problem, include your device, browser and the point where playback stopped. Do not send a password, card number or private access link.
Gift orders
Existing gift orders and their private claim process remain available. The recipient verifies their email and chooses to claim the gift; a forwarded private link alone is not verification. The purchaser can see payment and claim status without the recipient's identity or reading activity.
To share a free short novel, send its public book-page link. The recipient can choose PDF, EPUB or browser reading without a gift purchase.
The reading circle
Our subscription page shows current signup availability. When signup is available, confirm your email intentionally to receive a complete complimentary short novel in both PDF and EPUB through direct download links. You can unsubscribe or manage preferences from the links in a subscription email. Subscribing is optional and separate from all purchases and contributions.
Author support
The Donate page explains the available contribution options. Contributions support publishing and website operations, including the free short-novel collection. They are optional, do not purchase a book and do not create a newsletter subscription. Contact support with a receipt reference if you need help; never include payment-card or bank credentials.
Reader reviews
When submissions are open, verify your email, choose a public display name and submit your own words from the book page. Explicit consent is required to publish your words and name. Your email and any purchase evidence remain private; a review does not subscribe you to marketing.
Reviews are moderated before publication. Positive and critical reviews follow the same standards. Spam, impersonation, harassment, unrelated material and private information may be held or rejected. Spoilers are labeled. Opinions are not rewritten, and criticism is not removed solely because it is unfavorable.
A verified-purchase label requires an active direct purchase associated with the verified reader. A gift-recipient label requires claimed gift access. Email verification or reading a free book alone is not purchase verification. Written reviews do not use star ratings.
Use Manage your reviews to edit or withdraw a contribution. Edits return to moderation; withdrawal removes it from public display. Private consent and moderation history are retained to document those actions. Contact support about a correction, appeal or privacy request.
Saved books and reading position
Saved books is a private shortlist in this browser. Reading position and display settings may also be kept on your device. Clearing browser data removes these local preferences; they do not create an account or a purchase and do not automatically synchronize across devices.
Your personal reading copies
Files are provided for personal reading and listening. Complimentary access does not place a book in the public domain or permit redistribution or resale. Share the public book page so another reader can get their own copy.
