GoodNovels.org is an independent literary platform for novels and short books. It is not affiliated with similarly named websites or reading services. The ambition to explore America's fifty states is a publishing mission, not a claim that every state is represented in the current collection.
Copyright and personal use
Books, text, recordings, artwork and original site materials remain protected by copyright. Public reading, an opening selection or a complimentary download does not place material in the public domain or grant permission to republish, redistribute or sell it. Any rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected.
Free short novels and opening selections
The published free Short Novel Collection is available in full for personal reading every day. Readers may read online or keep the offered EPUB and PDF without payment, donation, newsletter signup or an account. An opening selection of a paid novel is not the complete novel. The Read Now section identifies the files currently available.
Written editions on Amazon
The complete written editions of The Whitakers of Sullivan's Island are sold through the format-specific Amazon links on the book page. Amazon controls its prices, availability, checkout, delivery, returns and Kindle services. A link click is not a completed purchase.
Paid audiobook and existing orders
The complete Whitakers audiobook is a separate paid website product when purchase is available. Its current availability and any approved price are displayed on its audiobook page. The final amount, currency and any applicable tax appear at checkout before payment. A return to the website is not proof of successful payment.
Existing valid purchases and claimed gifts remain available through My Books, including titles no longer promoted in the public catalog. Public free reading does not create a purchased library entitlement.
For failed delivery, a duplicate charge or a file problem, contact hello@goodnovels.org with the order reference. Do not send payment-card details or private access links. Refund requests are reviewed against the circumstances and applicable consumer rights; statutory rights are not excluded. A refund may end the access associated with that order. A file already downloaded cannot be recalled.
Voluntary contributions
Contributions support GoodNovels.org's publishing and website operations, including the free short-novel collection. Giving is optional and separate from book purchases, audiobook access and subscriptions. The available receiving options are identified on the Donate page. Select an amount and review the provider's confirmation before committing a payment. Selecting an amount alone does not charge it.
Contributions are one-time; the site does not enroll contributors in recurring giving or email marketing. GoodNovels.org does not represent these contributions as tax-deductible charitable gifts. A contribution acknowledgment is not a charitable tax receipt. A completed provider payment is distinct from later bank settlement.
Free subscriptions
The reading circle is a voluntary email subscription for complimentary short novels and occasional GoodNovels.org updates. A new subscription requires confirmation. Unsubscribe through a message's unsubscribe or preference link. Buying a book, sending an inquiry or contributing does not subscribe you. The complete Whitakers novel and paid audiobook are not subscription gifts.
External services and inquiries
Payment providers, Amazon, Cash App and mail applications operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Available direct payment flows use provider-hosted collection of payment details. A request for an author appearance, review material or additional rights does not by itself confirm an engagement or permission.
